Programming, Art, Schizophrenic Ramblings

The Start of a Journey

,

Greetings, and welcome to AndersKidwell.com — my little piece of the internet!

I created this site as a home for my hobbies and passions. I always have ideas bouncing around in my head and needed a place to share them. Think of this as a central hub: part project journal, part creative repository, and (once I get situated) a future storefront for my creations.

Right now, the site is pretty simple, but I promise it will come alive as I build it out!

A character I’m developing for a game dev project inspired by the PC98 anime style.

So, who am I?
I’m a programmer, artist, and craftsman. My work tends to orbit a few key passions:

  • Programming: Game development and AI.
  • Art & Craft: Pixel art, 3D modeling, digital art, and a deep love for anime figures and garage kits. I love processing, assembling, and painting them. I also love Gunpla!
  • A Special Note on 3D: A lot of my modeling is done with 3D printing in mind—whether it’s practical CAD for everyday objects or sculpting anime-style figurines. I eventually want to design, process, and paint custom figures, especially for characters who have never gotten an official release!
This is an Elegg garage kit I am currently working on.

What’s my style?
I’m a huge retro enthusiast. My heart belongs to the video games and anime from the 70s through the early 2000s. This love deeply influences my work:

  • My artwork reflects the anime of yesteryear.
  • My game projects are retro-inspired but with modern quality-of-life touches.

I’m incredibly excited to share this journey with you as I hone my craft. Expect lots of fun media along the way—artwork, game dev demos, behind-the-scenes looks at figure creation, and more.

Let’s have some fun together!

See ya,
Anders
